Love in Melodrama: A Collection of Opera Scenes - Amy Chang's Farewell Concert

Amy Chang is a collaborative pianist specialised in vocal accompaniment, who is about to move to the UK to pursue further study as an opera répétiteur. At the end of 2018 she embarked on an audition tour to the UK, and was accepted for all six conservatoires that she auditioned for. She will be studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s Opera School on a 2-year Masters programme on a full scholarship, which was automatically awarded based on excellency demonstrated at audition.

Before Amy departs the shores of Aotearoa, she will be holding a farewell benefit concert in the Ansonia Room of the Auckland Opera Studio. This will be an opera scenes-style concert of opera favourites, some musical theatre and one English Art Song — all strung together with a heart-gripping storyline.
